Child Evangelism Fellowship provides Bible clubs at the local elementary schools

Bible clubs at the local elementary school? YES!

Child Evangelism Fellowship, a worldwide interdenominational Christian ministry, has been ministering to children for >70 years.

Locally, the Greater Clarksville Chapter consists of seven counties and Ft. Campbell military post.

Our main function is to start after-school Bible clubs, called Good News Club, in the public elementary schools.

There are clubs soon to start back in nine elementary schools in our area right now: Montgomery County: Kenwood, Burt, Norman Smith and Montgomery Central; Cheatham County: Pleasant View; Dickson County: Dickson Elementary; Stewart County: North Stewart Elementary; Davidson County: Joelton; Humphreys County: McEwen. We expect to begin a club in Houston County this fall and hope to begin one in Robertson County very soon as well.

Good News Club meet once a week during the school year, right after school and on the school grounds, and during that 1 1/2-2 hours, we have a snack, play games, sing songs, teach a Bible lesson and memory verse, tell a missionary story, encourage students to read their Bible daily, etc.  It's a lot in a short time, but it's a great ministry, and we have a great time doing it!

Good News Club is open to all children that attend that school (and children of the workers). The club is run by volunteers, from teens to senior citizens, who have been screened and trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship.

No experience is necessary.

If you would like to be involved in this ministry, or if you have any questions, please contact the local missionaries, John & Lynn McAllister, at 615-844-3551 or check out the website at www.ReachingKidsForJesus.com.
